Imagine there would be no days between your Birthday and Christmas.
You would get used to unwrapping presents every day, and pretty soon you would get bored of it, thinking nothing of that nifty box of Meccano your old Aunt bought for you, or the ukulele Uncle Roger brought back from Florida for your 11th birthday.

Life is there to give us perspective. Without it, what comes before or after would meen nothing.
