Dear Mountie
If you cut into a banana; it divides into 3 pieces.
All other fruit are bi-polar. What's up with the banana? Is it from outter space?

Dear Steef
Banana plants are the largest plants on earth without a woody stem. They are actually giant herbs of the same family as lilies. The banana plant does not grow from a seed but rather from a rhizome.
The banana, in my humble opinion, has more in common with a berry than a fruit.
And if you use a knife you can easily circumvent the peculiar splitting issue.
