Dear Homer

I believe that the question, humorous as it may seem, has
some true philosophical bearing.

Although perhaps not a matter of Quantum mechanics, the
definition of sound interpolated with gender politics as
defined by the boundaries of moral philosophy is one of my
favourite late night topics of discussion.

If you believe that only consequences matter in determining
whether an action is right or wrong, and that the forest
really is a forest, you are holding the answer right there.
