Dear Mr Mountie,
Whats the average number of feathers a sparrow has on each wing? I am building a remote control sparrow so this information is essential.
Do not let me down.
Chris
Dear Chris
If memory serves me correct a sparrow has around 12-15 primary flight feathers with twice that amount of smaller upper wing coverts.
These, particularly, are a bastard to pluck and the main reason for eating squirrel. At least the little tree-rats don’t have feathers.
Yours Truly
Mr Mountie
